It's just as nostalgic to visit Salo, where I was born and spent my teenage years. This time I found the nicest Turku - Salo route I've ridden. Some asphalt and gravel roads are further from the main roads.

I had a target to spend multiple hours in a saddle, so a long ride via three different medieval stone churches fit my criteria. In addition, the Archipelago Trail sections around Naantali and Taivassalo are worth visiting, and I like to ride in those areas.

I read that many cyclists go for a vappusatanen (100k ride on the first of May), but I had to settle for a shorter ride yesterday. I had no plans for a route, so I just headed somewhere in the nearby areas.

"Pargas Church (Swedish: Pargas kyrka) is a medieval stone church located in Pargas. The first part of the stone church, Agricola Chapel, is known to have been built in the 1240s and 1300s. When the chapel became small, it was decided to build an actual gray stone church next to the chapel.
