About Die Rheinische Apfelroute by RVT e.V.

    1. This 23-kilometer hike is part of the Roman Canal hiking trail, which takes you along the traces of an almost 2000-year-old technical feat by the Romans. On this section from Rheinbach to Brenig, the path also runs in picturesque nature and through a wonderful cultural landscape with many apple and fruit

    1. The 258 meter high Wachtberg with the old war memorial gives its name and is the center of the community of Wachtberg. With good visibility, the mountain also offers you a wonderful view over the Drachenfelser Ländchen to the Siebengebirge. You can experience exactly that on this six-kilometer hike.

    1. The shortest of the loops is particularly suitable for an after-work tour or a half-day tour. Alternatively, you can of course combine it with the other loops or sections of the main route. The loop around Wachtberg leads through gently rolling hills, but it never gets really steep. You will be rewarded
