An interesting flat route. In wet conditions the canal path can be muddy otherwise no issues. Parking on the National Trust car park is great (toilets and café available). If not a member you could consider Woodhouse Lane or the one way section of Charcoal Road. parking on

I had a longer walk planned but because of the conditions I took the short and sweet option.
I parked on a free marked parking space near Trentabank Reservoir. There are toilets available at the pay and display car park.
The walk up was sanitised - up through the trees...and shortly after a right fork
