Shipwrecked cottage on the Vliehors sands on Vlieland Island 2025-08-17
The shipwrecked cottage on Vlieland is a small, historic white house located in the southwest of the vast Vliehors sand plain. Today, the house serves as a small beachcombers' museum, where beach finds are exhibited, and the fence is made of driftwood. It's a unique experience to walk along the largest sandy beach in Western Europe. Please note that the grounds are often closed during the week due to military exercises, and the Vliehors is not open to the public during these periods.
