Really just a ride home... it was rush hour, and not the first time I've done it. But the surprising thing was the time.. I thought it would take about an hour and a half. About 1/2 the ride is on uneven Bike-ways, next to sidewalks, bumpy from tree roots, etc/.. the other 1/2 is on well marked or paved lanes affording one the ability to move at a good clip. And in general, up here in northern Germany, as it's mostly pretty flat, a Focus city bike like mine is more than adequate for a ride like this. It was a good ride.
I actually started the ride in Blankenese, but as I saw that it ws taking me through some typical nice farmland through the woods on a nice day, I decided to start recording it. It was a pretty easy and fast ride, few vehicles.
Easier than the way there, and therefore quicker. But also right through some beautiful forest land with a couple of choice scenic spots. Just a note: Google maps, while far better than Apple maps for bike rides, wasn’t completely updated for this ride, and there was some guessing involved, but only a couple of short stretches with no major problems.
