Today we headed from Würzburg to the Main River near Dettelbach. We drove along the beautiful Main River to Marktbreit, then through tranquil little villages to Burgbernheim with its beautiful fortified church. The area is called Romantic Franconia—absolutely deserved.

This morning we started in Burgbernheim, then immediately began a steep climb toward Hornau – we were on the Franconian Heights.
