Endlich mal ein Hauch Oktobersonne! Rauf auf’s Bike und zusammen mit Boris über die Erzbahntrasse zum „Hof Mechtenberg“. Urgemütlich eingerichtete Gaststube, ein prasselndes wärmendes Ofenfeuer und auf dem Teller ein leckeres Stück Kuchen. Am Ende der Pause schnell noch ein frisches Brot und ein, zwei Leckereien eingekauft und dann über den Nordsternpark zur Halde Pluto. Ein tolles Herbstpanorama liegt einem auf der Aussichtsplattform zu Füßen. Der Weitblick reicht bis Essen und sogar zum Gasometer. Tetraeder und Halde Rungenberg auf der einen Seite, Hoheward und Halde Hoppenbruch auf der anderen. Noch einen Kaffee an Holgers Erzbahnbude und dann schnell nach Hause, denn mittlerweile wird’s kalt!
