A few bits from Bull Point to Lee Bay are overgrown and a walk (not ride) and a couple of big stair cases (up and down) to get to Bull Point, but well worth the effort. Doing it in reverse would probably be even better, unless you love the hills... Beware some tricky up and down hill bits. Safe to walk a couple of bits around the stairs, even if you're hardcore.

Good amount of off-road on this one, with some amazing views off the coast between Lee Bay and Ilfracombe (big highlight of the route). Forget the Grampus Inn, unless you're doing a much longer route and really need a break. Fairly long stretch on a cycle way, up a gentle but long hill too. One very mean, relentless hill in the first half, just before you get off road. Starting from Mortehoe also adds a pretty full on 'warm up' hill to the route (and a speedy downhill 2km home on the road at the end!)

Thought this was going to be a road and gravel fest for first 1/3 or so, but got to some decent mountain biking (ups, one really nice down and lots of mud/water). Ignore the road bit around Cobham station unless you're on a gravel bike.
NB: I tried to do the Through the Pines circuit from Komoot. Got

Not much of a MTB route, but a lot better than nothing if you need to get out. One really nice section of single track above the beach, with some decent speed downhill (watch out for walkers!!) and a huge hill to climb so you feel like you earn a beer by the end.
And why the muddy track bit is even on
