Starting at the Hotel Possada Guadalupe, the map suggested running 1 km along the road before entering the trails. But later on I recognized that there is also a trail parallel (NW) to the road and it does connect to the maintrail (the map falsly shows that this parallel trail ends about 50m before the main trail). After undercrossing the Hwy, the trail becomes grassy. Later on it becomes rockier on the return section. Not shown in this run: you can make a quick sidetrip to the ruins of a church about 200m after the forementioned side alternative trail meets the main trail.

Ideal for jogging or just exploring. The park has a very wide, paved circular path which includes bridges over water reservoirs. And there are many packed gravel trails to art sculptures, hills and gardens. Keep an eye open for the parrots which live here.

Do the costal part only North to South and make sure the wind is coming from NW - else you will breath in lots of exhaust fumes. Lots of traffic on weekends. The overall route is relatively fast because it requires only one bigger climb which is between category 1 and 2 (Tunitas, which offers nice shade in a beautiful forrest all the way up). Water fountain at Crystal Springs reservoir, Bike Hut (Tunitas), Water Temple (Canada).
