Incredibly good weather today in Fiss - clear blue sky, not a single cloud and (at least in the sun) pleasantly warm. It couldn't be more beautiful in September! From Fiss we cycled through the forest to the Schömgampalm, then with the gondola up to the Zwölferkopf and from there via the Almtrail and Frommestrail back to Fiss. The best conditions, the trails were nice and dry, very few people and the view was beautiful. As the icing on the cake, the bike wash at the valley station also worked this time 😂

Back from 🇦🇹 and luckily nice weather - we connected our usual breakfast tour to the Herzoghütte with the Rotrischtrail. After training on the alpine trails, the Rotrisch was no longer a challenge, but it was fun.Hmm, as always, it's too much, according to Garmin it was 720.

After the trail adventures of the last few days, a bit of slowing down today (but it was still a bit exhausting) - a hike from the Schönjoch over the Urgtal to the Schöngampalm or the valley station of the Almbahn. With the Almbahn back up to the Zwölferkopf (sorry, I forgot to switch off the recording and cheated on the altitude difference!) And then with the Schönjochbahn back to Fiss.Luckily the weather was very nice again, even if there were some clouds in the sky today (which didn't hurt, without it it would have been very hot).

Today the best weather of our holidays with sunshine, blue skies and pleasant temperatures. We have tackled the trails around the Fisser Joch (accessible with the Schönjochbahn from Fiss). What a great day!- Whisper trail: quite a rough start with some difficult parts, but a great opportunity to rest in the middle. The second half is very flowing and great to drive.- Zirbentrail: flow from top to bottom, very nicely laid out trail through woods and meadows down to the Almbahn valley station. From there you take the gondola up to the Zwölferkopf at 2400m.- Almtrail: great trail in the rocks, partly exposed but great fun. It's great what the trail builders have built here on the few meters down to the Schönjoch. In the last few meters we met a few stray pedestrians on the trail, quite dangerous.- Frommestrail: the absolute highlight, madness. Epic is the right word for this long and beautiful trail. Seemingly endless it goes down the hills through the changing landscape, from barren rock over slopes overgrown with heather, meadows and then forest. The last part in the forest is much rougher and more difficult to drive and has some root passages - but it was dry and therefore easy to drive. We were totally flashed when we got down after what felt like an hour!Unfortunately, the high-tech bike washing machine at the Schönjochbahn didn't work, so the bikes had to stay dusty. On the way we noticed the many bikers who patched tires. The Whisper Trail in particular seems to be a tire killer. Fortunately, everything was fine with us and the material held up. But new brake pads are needed now, they are through after the many meters of depth of the last two weeks.

Finally good weather! Yesterday we were soaked to the skin and today we could thunder down the trails in Serfaus around the Komperdell cable car in bright sunshine.Due to the rain of the last few days, the trails were sometimes very muddy, but except for the Scheidtrail, they were easy to ride.We drove down the combined Alpkopftrail / Högtrail three times, in between the Scheidtrail down from the Lazidkopf once. We liked the Högtrail best, nice and long, flowing and with a few wooden elements. For advanced (Markus ...) probably too boring and too much marble run, but we had a lot of fun and the third time we were able to race down really fast!Only the Scheidtrail from the Lazidkopf was almost impassable due to the rain. Otherwise, the trail would be a lot of fun, it's a little more uphill / downhill and a few places are a bit rougher due to the stones. Marion almost lost one of her shoes in the mud when she sank ankle deep. Fortunately, there is a bike wash station at every lift station - after the trail, the bikes were covered with mud an inch thick.Have fun and tomorrow the weather should be good again.PS: There aren't many photos of the trails, we were too busy driving :)

Since the weather looked okay today, we wanted to go up the marmot trail to the Lazidkopf. The track looks very nice and at the beginning we also had sunshine. After about 1/3 of the way it started to rain steadily, we were soon soaked despite rain jackets and then at some point we turned around unnerved.Of course it stopped raining a few minutes later, but we didn't want to try again. After all, we were able to enjoy the sun for a short time while taking a break on a bench. We then briefly visited the Lazidkopf with the cable car.It was too wet for the marmots too, we only saw one from a distance, but heard several.

Around noon it finally stopped raining and we started a short warm-up lap. The tour follows the family tour 7105, but we rode everything by bike and not the Ladis - Fiss route with the cable car. This makes you a few more meters in altitude. The weather was surprisingly good and it even stayed dry. At the Bike Park we allowed the bikes to be cleaned quickly and watched the daring bikers on the airbag.

Today it snowed on top of the peaks and it was accordingly cold! In addition, alternating sunshine and drizzle. That's why we started a little tour on the Bieler Höhe at around noon. We had to abort the first attempt because it started raining after 2 minutes (we are really no wimps, but it was very cold and wet!)Fortunately, on the second attempt we only had a short drizzle, the rest was pretty nice in sunshine. The next few days it will be very cold and wet in Tyrol, let's see what we can do in the next week (supposedly it will be better on Wednesday).

Today we started on foot - to the Jamtalhütte in the beautiful Jamtal, which starts almost directly on our doorstep. Last year we rode the tour on bikes, which was a lot of fun, but also had its challenges due to the steep ramps just before the hut (at least with the bio bike). There was a beer at the hut, then we went back to Galtür. The way back is more fun with the bike and is also much faster 😭As always, the altitude meters are completely wrong, it was 640 and not 1000. Thanks Garmin / Komoot!

For us, cranking uphill is part of biking. Today, however, we covered almost all the vertical meters uphill by lift or gondola. From Ischgl we went up to the Flimjoch at almost 2800m. It was a $$$$ cold, felt like 0 degrees - brrrr. For the next few hours we drove the trails in the area between Ischgl and Samnaun, including a short visit to Samnaun (it was very warm there!)To the trails:- Viderjoch / Enduro-Trail: easy trail from Flimjoch down to Alp Trida. But in the cold and at almost 2800 meters quite exhausting, my pump was really good! After that we were warmed up.- Alp Trida Flowtrail: this is the beginner's trail and therefore just right for us :) It was really great fun and we drove it three times. We saw marmots every time on the way.- Duty Free Ride to Samnaun: We really liked a nice flowing trail with residents. The last part is on the ski slope and a Schottestrasse to Samnaun. You even have to climb a few meters to get to the double-decker gondola in Ravaisch.- Flimjochtrail: Frozen from the chairlift ride up from the Trida-Alp, you arrive back at an altitude of 2,800 meters. Took the obligatory photo stop at the Ischgl sign in an icy wind and then on the Flimjochtrail. The upper part is quite difficult because it is steep, lots of loose stones, tight curves and sometimes very exposed. We pushed in a few places. The lower part is very flowing again and was a lot of fun.- Paznauner Taja-Trail: The last trail for today. It was drizzling a bit and the strength was pretty much exhausted. In between you have to push up a very steep hiking trail. Then it goes a little more rough over cow pastures. From the Taja Hut in Paznaun we drove on the road because it was raining really hard in the meantime.A great day, but also going downhill is pretty exhausting!
