I was all over the place trying to cross from east to west Canterbury, not good. Then a good hard climb out of Canterbury West, past the beautiful St Edmunds School. The crab and wrinkle trail then starts by weaving through the University of Kent on the right.
A lovely flat gravel/tarmac trail through

A beautiful loop. Through the swale nature reserve. You have to lift your bike over one kissing gate.
Some of the route tried to go through private caravan sites, which are gated so I had to double back.
