Making the most of the spring sunshine with a very pleasant loop from Pateley Bridge. Starting with a pleasant amble alongside the River Nidd, the route gradually climbs through Smelthouses and High Wood to the weird and wonderful gritstone outcrop of Brimham Rocks. After our failed post-sunrise attempt, take 2 of the iconic Madeiran route. Unfortunately most of the PR1 is currently closed due to a landslide, but what is open is still mightily impressive!
