There was surprisingly little activity. I only passed 30 people on the way to Wimbachgries. Normally, it felt like more like 100. Maybe appearances are deceiving, but I was definitely on my way to Hocheck before most hikers left the house. This was definitely noticeable during the crossing.

Unfortunately, during my Königssee circuit, I didn't have time to enjoy the sunrise. So I thought I'd go for a hike for exactly that purpose. This time, I had time, but no sunrise to enjoy 😂 My thighs weren't ready for another run in the mountains, which is why the second lap was already uncomfortable

The first two laps took me about 1:35 each. Things were going great up until then. Unfortunately, on the last lap, I had stomach pains and couldn't run. At times, I couldn't even walk, but it doesn't seem to be a permanent issue, so it's not a big deal. The outward and return bike rides are only visible on Strava.

Today, for a change, I didn't run on the local mountain (Watzmann/Staufen) but on the local hill. My previous record for the hill at Wöhrsee ↗︎↘︎ over the stairs or the long straight was 25x (within 2.5 hours). With 100 "laps" I would have done half of Everesting (according to Strava, it's over 4500m

I recorded three separate times with Strava today. The outward and return journey by bike was not exciting: 24km directly along the Danube, a few meters in elevation, ∅25Km/h. So this time I'm only publishing the "hike" in Kommot so that it is more visible.
The route I had actually planned suddenly ended

I have been wanting to cycle from Passau to the Berchtesgaden Alps for a while. I was actually planning to cross the Watzmann, but there is probably still too much snow for that at the moment. So instead of crossing the Staufen, I would rather go to the summit twice here than crossing it, to better prepare

I already did a tour around Königssee last year, but at that time I wasn't fit enough for a variant with peaks in the Steinernes Meer. After the success of the last tour, I wanted to try whether my fitness is now enough for more than 4000m of climbing in one day. The 5200Hm of the last tour were about

I got into mountaineering through Watzmann and Staufen. Above all, I did the transgressions very often. That's why I've wanted to do both traverses in one day for a long time. As with most of my tours, again by bike from Burghausen. Last year I dared to try it for the first time but gave up on the ascent

@OhneCarbsGehtNichts What a shame!! Such a huge effort on all sides. And then the weather doesn't cooperate. 😭 That certainly wasn't an easy decision for the organizers. Do you risk a death from freezing to death? Or do you incur the resentment and frustration of all the participants who think the cancellation
