Nice easy circular walk around Buttermere. It can get crazy busy and parking is limited so choose your times carefully. We went clockwise starting from the Southern end. This gives you lots of choice for snacks / meals half-way (plus toilets). A slight incline on the Western side takes you away from

Parking is on the road and can get very busy at weekends etc. First half is a bit rocky with some very short scrambles. As it approaches the road near Longshaw, it can become very boggy if it has rained recently. Boots are definitely recommended. Definitely worth it for the views.

Nice cliff top walk. Be aware that there are some steeper sections and steps.
