Path by the river is very good but I would really not recommend walking down the road from Newbridge to Kingston Bagpuize at the end. There is virtually no verge and a lot of fast traffic.

Missed the path and doubled back once. The last bit along the beach avoids another climb but can only be done when the tide is out.
There is a regular bus back to Tenby if you don't fancy the return trip.
