Today I treated myself to a loop around in Bavarian Swabia, a place I always enjoy coming back to.
The trail itself is fairly average: some paved sections, moderate elevation, nothing particularly technical or remarkable from a pure hiking perspective.
The real highlight is the setting.

Explored the Plansee today, a beautiful lake hidden in the Austrian Tirol near Reutte. When I arrived it was a freezing –4°C. There’s a very convenient parking spot right in front of Hotel Forelle where I started my hike.
Data reception was poor, so I had to rely on intuition. After about 500 m I realised

Pleasant and not too demanding hike from Seefeld to Herrsching am Ammersee — around 19 km with ~300 m of elevation gain.
The route starts with a short visit to Seefeld, well worth it for its charming atmosphere and the beautiful castle. From there, the trail quickly immerses you in nature.
