A long and rather monotonous stage. I left Lugo at 5:30 a.m., mainly to avoid the traffic and heat on the exposed road sections. The first kilometres in the darkness were actually very pleasant: cool, quiet and peaceful.

An early start today — around 6:00, walking the first kilometres in complete darkness with the headlamp. The sky was absolutely spectacular, full of stars, and occasionally switching off the light to look up was one of those simple experiences that makes getting up so early completely worthwhile.

A beautiful but seriously demanding stage. The day starts with misty valleys, rolling Galician landscapes and spectacular views. After leaving Fonsagrada, the route continues through a succession of climbs and descents that never really seem to stop.

A relatively short and relaxing stage after the harder first days of the Primitivo. The first part is particularly beautiful, with typical Asturian countryside, open views, small mountain paths and pleasant forest sections.

A beautiful but demanding stage, starting early around 6:30–7:00. The first 6 km are the toughest, with a long and steep climb that gets the legs warmed up quickly.
A small detour to a nearby waterfall is worth considering. Shortly after the first climb, there is also a lovely Camino rest stop offering

A beautiful but fairly demanding stage, especially in the first half. The climb to Alto del Fresno is the main challenge of the day: several kilometres of steady ascent, followed by a steep descent. Nothing technically difficult, though — mostly good paths, roads and tracks, so it is more about pacing

The final stage of my Camino Primitivo — and hardly a hike at all, but a joyful and emotional final procession after 320 km of walking.
The day began with a visit to the Pilgrim statues on Monte do Gozo, where Santiago Cathedral can already be seen in the distance. From there, just a few kilometres separated me from the finish.
