Warning: there are wild dogs in the first section. You can probably walk past them if you stay calm and ignore them, but it is sketchy. You can also walk over the road for the last bit to avoid them.

The second day was pretty meh. A large part of the trail is over the road through a town with lots of recent construction. On the descent there is a sketchy part at the location of the second picture, so walk carefully.

This section of the trail starts at the Naxi Guesthouse, and ends at a nice hotel in a quiet area right next to the trail (Two forgets mountain houses) with an excellent view on the mountains.
The path is good, a bit exposed on some points, but not dangerous, just pay attention.

Excellent walk over the Great Wall, with amazing views.
We arranged a driver to bring us from Beijing to the starting point at Gubeiku and pick us up at Jinshanling
The route is very easy to find, as you mostly walk over the great wall.

Entry to the park is 200 THB per adult. The path is not super clear at some points, and you will need to cross a stream several times. You can park your car at the start and get tickets for the park there. The path has some signs with info about plants. Halfway we were accompanied by 2 friendly dogs
