Isle of Wight Tour - Day 12 (St John's to Home)
Long day in the saddle. Tweaked route from previous rides. This is a good route, particularly through Burnham Beeches, which is definitely worth a visit. Two stops in Beaconsfield and Quainton. Ready to finish 😄

Interesting visitor centre and then a walk around the site. Plenty of overseas tourists, particularly from USA. Good to see 😊

Warm, but wet at the end. Good roads, with gravel in the New Forest. Crossed from Hampshire into Wiltshire. Birthday treats at the end 😋

Isle of Wight Tour - Day 8 (to the beach)
Rest day. Easy ride down to the seaside with views across the Silent to the Isle of Wight. Swim in the sea, mainly bobbing, but not for too long 🥶. Think I must have put route on hike for return trip. Ended up on a rutted track.....

Easy ride to ferry crossing to Lymington and then to Beaulieu, Hythe and then on route 2 to Brockenhurst. Good introduction to the New Forest 😁

Isle of Wight Tour - Day 4 (IOW Randonnee)
Around the Isle of Wight on the Randonnee route clockwise. Perfect conditions and really enjoyed the route. Diversion near the start with a road closure took us through Sandown and along the beach esplanade to Shanklin. Good alternative with less ascent.

Via Ryde to see the Steam Punk Festival and then walk and lunch at Garlic Farm. Good ride and loving the IOW countryside 😄

IOW CP Chale to Shanklin
Grey and overcast. Quite a few path closures and diversions. Diversion signs out of Ventnor were non existent. Ended up going up the road as the whole path must've disappeared. Called The Landslip on OS, which is a bit of a giveaway 😂. Good day's walking, including coffee and cake…

IOW CP The Needles to Chale
Great start with great vistas and sunshine. Path closure meant a detour and we followed the wrong signs, so walked part of the Tennyson route, adding a few miles. Cold and hungry by the end. Enjoyed the Wight Mouse Pub at the end
