About 🐊 Colombino 🦉
Nette Abwechslung. Zumal es im Montafon, meiner Heimat, viele Möglichkeiten für das MTB gibt. Mach ich halt nun beides abwechselnd 😀

First of all: I dedicate today's trip to my father, who is celebrating his 80th birthday today and because of this stupid pandemic I cannot drive to him in the Vienna Woods. He passed on and passed on the joy of movement and the love for the mountains in me, and even as a small child he took me on his mountain tours. Happy birthday, dad, we'll definitely catch up on the partying soon.I also wanted to test whether the pollen situation would allow me to tour again, but unfortunately no, I have to be patient. And snow is still above 1,300 meters above sea level. But it was nice anyway, and the brakes I represented also passed the test 😉😁

🙂 My eldest visited the Ländle over the weekend with my two granddaughters, today she went back to Vienna, and to say goodbye to Feldkirch, where she was staying, to say "goodbye" to her and the two girls. On the way home I saw two mountain bikers pushing their bikes in the middle of nowhere between Nenzing and Ludesch. I noticed the flat rear wheel on one. Turn around, ask if they needed repair kits .... yes, they needed, had nothing with them, no tools, no pump, nothing. 10 minutes, I practiced in winter, then it went on. To see a few kilometers further, how directly in front of me on the straightest, flatest stretch of road an e-biker freed herself from balance and upright riding style and carried her companion, who was driving next to her, straight to ruin in the direction of the pavement. So stop, ask how you are, offer help, pick up parts, ignore unfriendliness🤦♂️, continue ...

After the rather very modest weather of the last few days, sunshine and dry roads and paths are finally back. And in the Rhine Valley there is no longer anything to be seen of the onset of winter. Surprising: hardly any wind, I was able to let the racing bike run nicely. It was just wonderful 🙂🌞

So, in the afternoon, the tour from this morning continued, with much nicer and warmer weather. From Silbertal drive up the Innerbergstraße and then on to Sankt Anton, from there to pedal back into the valley. Until suddenly the knee rebelled violently, and that has been quiet for so long. So to be on the safe side, take a break for a day or two, then it'll work again 😁

When we set off in the morning it was still dry and it actually looked pretty good, but after a few kilometers it started to rain, and at just 4 degrees I didn't feel like doing that. In the afternoon it should get better .....

At minus 4 degrees it was quite cool when we started in the morning, but that hardly scares me. Through the Walgau, where the meadows slowly begin to develop a delicate green, over the Black Lake to Rankweil. From there via Brederis to the Meiningen customs office, along the Rhine to the Koblach customs office (ZollaRt) beneath the Kummenberg. There, more or less shaking their head, overheard how the police stopped and checked every single car from 🇨🇭Switzerland to 🇦🇹Austria.
Conclusion: If fear rules, reason and freedom die. With this thought I drove back inland ...When I got home it wasn't much warmer than in the morning 😁March 9, 2021
