There are a lot of building works going on along the river front in Arnhem... stick with it. You have to be flexible to find a way through and cross to the opposite side of a busy riad... but its possibble to get back to find the river again before too long :)

For the most part this is a beautiful walk with some stunning views of Calpe and along the coast. The descent from the top is however very treacherous - very steep, sometimes difficult to follow path with rock and loose stones under foot. I advise not to attempt this in wet / bad weather. Despite best
