Heute habe ich meine zweite Ultra-Distanz mit dem Fahrrad gemeistert – und es war großartig. Alles lief nach Plan, genauso wie ich es mir im Kopf ausgemalt hatte. Die Strecke von zuhause bis nach Ulm hat mich nicht nur körperlich gefordert, sondern auch landschaftlich belohnt: knackige Anstiege, die zwar herausfordernd waren, aber mit dem richtigen Rhythmus gut zu fahren sind. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Vielfalt der Wege – gut ausgebaute Rad- und Feldwege wechseln sich ab mit naturbelassenen. Abschnitten. Als ich mich Ulm näherte, wurde das Terrain nochmal spannender: einige richtig schöne Gravel-Stücke haben das Abenteuer-Gefühl verstärkt. Die Kombination aus Herausforderung, Naturerlebnis und dem Gefühl, etwas Großes geschafft zu haben, macht diese Strecke für mich zur perfekten Wahl für eine Ultra-Distanz. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die nächste Tour.

Today we had a fantastic gravel tour on the agenda! There were lots of uphill and just as many downhill sections. Forests and roads offered the perfect mix of gravel and asphalt. In between we stopped at the farm café "Zur Waffeley" in Gschwend - incredibly good waffles and a great location. 🚴♂️🌲🍂

Today I had another real adventure on my gravel tour. Some of the paths were so overgrown that I had to look for alternative routes several times. In addition, I often had to wait at traffic lights because I was riding through the city. But overall it was a great tour!
