In places the route is difficult to follow although there were paint markers or cairns throughout. I found the paths marked on Komoot to be very accurate. As there are no contours on the map I found it helpful to use the satellite aerial photograph layer to help navigate.
My family enjoyed the hike.

Karlštejn Castle – Velká Amerika Quarry loop from Karlštejn
Pleasant walk in countryside 30 minute train journey from Prague.
Trains run every 30 minutes.
Beware that Karlštejn Castle and pretty much all shops and restaurants in the vicinity are closed on Mondays. Unfortunately we visited on Monday.
The quarries were an interesting objective but not a massive highlight.

In April the flowers were beautiful, Cistus, Dog Rose and some delicate Orchids.
