Nice area to walk and easy trail, mostly flat. Trail is in good shape, even though we had a lot of rain last week, it was not really muddy. If you plan a picnic, do it at the shores of the Corrib Lake, there is also a sheltered sitting area. Gates closed at some of the paths that go into the castle grounds
