This is a great ride mix of downhill countryside bridleways and flat seafront cycle lane, only bit of road though Sompting and lancing, but lovely new cafe in Brooklands Park lancing I would recommend, the only disappointment is my device didn't record the slog up several serious (for me) hills we did

Seemed like 90% uphill but probably wasn't, amazing views, some of the planned route was so overgrown it was impenetrable and we rerouted, wear long sleeves as brambles bite! Thoughly enjoyable I as a senior bloke found it changeling even with an e bike but will do it again.

Left Totnes with a grey overcast sky, when I got to the top of the hill I was in thick mist, so make sure you have the correct clothing, interesting mix of trail, road and quiet country lanes, but beware the hill climb is relentless!!!

Great couple of hours ride, with a little bit of everything, south downs way, bridle paths down into Hove for lunch and then along seafront via Shoreham harbour lock gates .
