This is a tour of the Fred Meijer Clinton-Ionia-Shiawassee Trail, from Fowler to Ionia. This tour continues West on the "Fred Meijer Grand River Valley Trail" to just outside of downtown Lowell.
The trails ends in a very un-spectacular way about 1.5 miles from downtown Lowell by just merging onto the

This section of the Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park (from the parking lot in Pinckney going East to its Terminus at US23) is entirely paved.
As is to be expected from a Rails-to-Trails park, it is almost entirely straight & flat. The only exception is shortly before the end, when the trail meanders around a prison.
