On the route we visited the famine cottages telling the story of the great famine in the 1840s. And have a coffee at caiffe na tra with its spectacular view of blasket islands.

If you like to avoid the larger roads: this is a really nice route through the Burren. Visit the prehistoric Poulnabrone Dolmen and stop for a coffee in Lisdoonvarna.
