Great easy walk.
If a National Trust member, free parking at Wray Castle.
Route pretty much followed the road back to Ambleside.
Great lunch at the Copper Pot, would recommend their coffee too!

Great stroll around edge of the White Horse and then across and back on some bridleways.
Original Komoot route suggested a cut across fields marked "private no right of way, so a longer trek along the A road to Sutton Bank, to pick up a bridleway.

Weather good.
Always upset when I pass the now closed cafe in Horton... Used to be a great place to grab something before or after a walk.
I guess the pandemic forced its closure.

Car park at Wray Castle is National Trust and you can choose not to visit the castle itself.
Joey's cafe has some good vegan options and a wide selection of cakes 😋

Walk starts and ends by the NT cafe.
If you don't have NT membership or don't want to pay to park,there is limited parking just before the estate.
Pub in Brigsteer could be a good spot for lunch and a cheeky pint 😉

A great little loop walk around Ripley Castle grounds.
Timed it perfectly, as thd last Sunday of the month it hosts the Real Food market.
Crafts as well as food!
