About Heinz
Bin Genussradler.

A wonderful day. I start in Elsarn in the Straßertal shortly before noon. The parking lot at the "Germanisches Gehöft" is the ideal starting point.
Because the tour is planned for the trekker, but I ended up skipping the MTB, I switch from asphalt to gravel roads as much as possible.
In the early afternoon…

The garage calls, my car is repaired and ready to be picked up. I decide to go out with the bio racer. The first time this year. It's good to have a lightweight under one again. The thing doesn't even weigh 1/3 of a standard e-bike.
It's going fast. "I was zwoa nu net where i exactly foa, oba dafia bin…

My old car belongs in the workshop. So grab the bike piggyback and off you go.
There is a strong westerly wind. From Etsdorf, where my main workshop is based, the e-trekker takes me steeply up the Oberschreckenberg. The choice of name is probably not accidental. In earlier, non-motorized times, the horses…

It is already shortly after 1 p.m. A little late for a really long tour. After a few kilometers I change my planned route because the wind has changed from originally west to relatively strong southwest. Instead of cycling along the Danube through the Tullnerfeld, I now cycle along the Wagram with a…

Wilhelmsburg. Two wheels are loaded on the rear carrier of my car. The E-MTB comes to the workshop for service, and I set off on the E-Trekker to the foothills of the Alps. The first thing to do is to take the first crossing between the Traisen and Pielach valleys.
The whole area is teeming with cattle…

The start is at the Furth-Palt train station car park. It goes straight up steeply to Göttweig Abbey. A flagged MTB route leads up the mountain off the beaten track. I try them. Not bad for real hardcore MTB riders. Because I am not such, I soon return to the street and gasp up the mountain. The monastery…

What a joy, contrary to the weather forecast, the sun is fighting its way through the milky cloud cover. That makes driving twice as much fun. At the start I don't really know where I want to go and just start cycling. In the distance in front of me, on the other bank of the Danube, I see the Wetterkreuzkirche…

First of all, there are some photos in the collection that have an indication of height that is not correct. I simply forgot to adjust the texting in the course of the photography. The altitude is Weinzierl am Walde.
What a beautiful day. It's still a bit stormy, but 12 degrees and an almost azure sky…

Hm? What am I taking today? E-Tourer or the E-MTB? The route planned for today is in and of itself ideal for a tourer. But in the end I decide to go with the E-MTB. If only because of the large amount of grit. The coarse tires simply swallow the Riesel better. Later it turns out that it was exactly the…

Ewald as a local is my guide in the Pielachtal today. For me, it's a journey of uncertainty because I let him guide the tour. In advance, he tells me some field and mountain names that he intends to drive on, but as a stranger to the area, these mean next to nothing to me 🙄.
It gets off to a crisp start…
