Like most people, I have been riding bikes since I was a child. When I was young, it gave me my first real taste of freedom and that feeling remains with me today. I like the way it takes me to places I would not see any other way. When I was a kid, I could get to the other side of the city, on my own. Now I can get to the other side of the world! It suits my personality; nothing comes for free and you have to work long and hard if you really want it.

The road in to South West Rocks has little shoulder and is surprisingly busy. Most cars given you plenty of room when they pass, but be ready for a couple of tourists not concentrating..
