The Miramar Tower is considered the most expensive roundabout in Spain
Its initial purpose was to look out to the sea, but you can't really see much of it.
An example of pharaonic public works: 9 years and 24 million budget (10 more than budgeted).
The Miramar Tower is 45 meters high and can accommodate 160 people inside.
It was finished in 2009 as part of a project by the Ministry of Public Works and was only open to the public for 3 months. The discussions about its management and maintenance between the different central and local governments have made this building one of the most hated in the city.
Its walls are still full of graffiti, dung and weeds. A degraded setting that has created an ideal environment for explorers of abandoned places.
Paradoxically, from above you can see little of the sea. The view is of the open space (and parking lot) of Tarongers, the buildings in the area and universities. El Cabanyal and La Malvarrosa, unfortunately, are visible on the horizon.
They say that some people were able to go up to the top during the first few days before the elevator stopped working. Now the Valencia City Council hopes to recover the space once the central government carries out the pending works to rehabilitate and dignify it.
