    The shipyard is fully equipped with machines and tools necessary for working with wooden ships. The shipyard forms a center for the wooden ship world in Middelfart Gl. Harbor with 6-8 wooden ships.

    The shipyard is owned and operated by the Lillebæltværftet association as an active shipyard museum and dissemination center for local boatbuilding traditions and coastal culture.

    As part of the preservation of the historic shipbuilding, the association has leased the right to operate the boat building at the shipyard, so that the company Middelfart Skibs- og Bådebyggeri has been using one of the shipyard's halls since 2012.

      The Little Belt Shipyard now operates as a museum shipyard and maritime history center
      for the northern part of the Little Belt, where the tradition of wooden shipbuilding
