The northern shore of Lake Biel is used intensively for viticulture. The hike along the vine path from Biel to La Neuveville gives a comprehensive insight into the work of the winegrowers in the region. This scenic tour begins less than two kilometers outside of Biel. The first obligatory photo stop is reached after just a few hundred meters. A unique perspective with St. Peter's Island as the main protagonist spreads out. The deep blue Lake Biel is your constant companion from now on. The second attractive motif is waiting to be photographed near Twann. The picturesque and winding streets convey a homely atmosphere. This is no different in Ligerz, where the famous church is probably the most popular photo stop. Incidentally, there is a vine educational trail between Twann and Ligerz, which gives visitors a lot of interesting information about wine and especially about viticulture on Lake Biel. The tour ends in historic La Neuveville - Neuenstadt, as the German-speaking Bernese say. The old town is worth a visit. The lakeside promenade is one of the most beautiful on Lake Biel.

From Cressier via La Neuveville to Biel, you can instead drive along the lakeshore into the Rebberger.
