The Sandbornhütte is about 1.5km east of the Sievershausen district of Abbecke with the well-known forest inn of the same name and can be reached via an easy forest path. On site there is a few Sollingstein steps downhill to the left of the forest path (caution: danger of slipping, use the handrail to be on the safe side), a small wooden sign shows the way. The large hut offers space for a decent hiking group. There are more benches and tables on the terrace. In addition, you have a beautiful view of the Sandbornwiesental, through which the Abbecker Bach flows. The hut, which was built in 1974, was renovated in 2015 by the Sollingverein Sievershausen.

Nice place to rest with outdoor seating. The hut has a nice floor, but otherwise the interior has not been used for a while.
