Next to the Gangolf Church you will find the »terrace gardens with rare but also typically Franconian plants, the terrace gardens are worth visiting in all seasons. You will not only find rare or special plants, but also very typical flowers of Franconian Switzerland and numerous fragrant plants. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the view over the city.
With the extensive urban renovation carried out and the preservation of the still clearly recognizable city wall ring around the old town of Hollfeld, the city council took up the idea of the former 3rd Mayor Hans Härtl to wake the so-called "terrace gardens" with a view of the lower town from their slumber and completely to redesign. In addition to the important preservation of the city wall, the implementation of the measure placed particular emphasis on the creation of terrace-like areas with diverse planting.
Flower beds with typical seasonal designs invite you to visit them from spring to autumn. Changing exhibitions with works of art and events from the theater summer to the song circle enliven the plant paradise.
