                        At 396m, the Steinberg is the highest mountain in Nordlippe and offers a phenomenal view. We could clearly see the Weser Mountains near Rinteln, Porta Westfalica, the Egge Mountains in the Teutoburg Forest and even the low mountain ranges of the central Weserbergland such as the Ith.
                        There was a NATO radar system on the mountain until 1992, which was dismantled. However, some concrete slabs can still be seen. The mountain was recently raised by another 9m and has a platform with stone seats on top. Not pretty, but the view makes up for it.
