On the top of the tower you can enjoy a very beautiful view. To get to the top of the tower's platform, you have to squeeze through a narrow hatch. But it's worth it!

The entrance to the tower costs 1 EUR and can be paid in the tower.

The Turmbaude is a quaint excursion restaurant and impresses with its rustic ambience and the delicious and hearty food. It is a clear recommendation!

It has been possible to climb the tower again since 1963. In the GDR era, a small kiosk was built below the castle, as the ruins were popular with vacationers and school classes. In 2012 the tower was closed due to dilapidation, repaired in 2013 and then reopened. Today it is used again as an observation tower and can be climbed during the opening times of the neighboring tower building (April to December from Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m.).
