The Pfannspitze is one of the highest peaks on the Carnic High Trail. After the ascent via the Obstanser Sattel a sensational view of the Dolomites opens up in the south. The way to the top is not difficult, but in places airy. From the summit, a fantastic panoramic view between the Hohe Tauern in the north and the Dolomites. On both sides of the - especially in the direction of the west striking comb course can be seen. At the beginning of the ridge, you have to use your hands for a bit, then the path becomes flatter until it turns into very blocky terrain up to the two Kinigat peaks.
