When you think of Switzerland you probably think of steep mountains. Well, it isn’t steep everywhere and you don’t always have to conquer a high mountain. On your touring bike, you can find much more relaxing routes. Switzerland has a huge cycling network with a range of options for beginners and easy-going cyclists. This nation of spectacular mountains can also be flat and it allows you toexplore breathtaking lakes, old towns and natural landscapes without punishing ascents.

These six Tours should help you find a route for your next adventure. They vary in length from 24 to 43 kilometres (15 to 26 mi) with no more than 360 metres (1,180 ft) of elevation gain. You can reach the starting points and return home by train, allowing you to leave your car at home.

It’s entirely up to you whether you do these loops on your bike or e-bike. You can also adapt the routes to suit your needs. For example, the Lake Constance circuit can be shortened to a Tour from Rorschach to St. Gallen.

Just because others cycle long distances or climb high mountains doesn't mean you have to. The important thing is that you enjoy your next Tour in Switzerland and be as active as you want to be. So go ahead: the most beautiful corners of the country are waiting to be conquered!
