Slightly hidden in the forest next to the former toboggan run, there is still an outhouse built at the beginning of the last century. Bad Elster's garden inspector Paul Schindel had distributed several of these outhouses throughout the forest when he designed the Nordpark, today's Waldpark, in 1910. The "Waldquelle" restaurant, the bandstand, and the first outdoor theater were also built at that time. The outhouse was restored by the Sachsenforst (Saxony Forest Service) in 2018, but is no longer functional. Instead, there are a few information boards inside with information about the surrounding area.

It would certainly be functional enough to do its business. It just wouldn't be so fun for subsequent visitors. The waste would be deposited nearby.
