In the small, originally reconstructed house with its courtyard and garden, you can get an insight into the life of the so-called "Agricultural Citizens" around 1900. In addition to their work in the factory, in trade and commerce, the residents of Reichenbach ran a modest farm to secure their livelihood. A small field in front of the city also belongs to every inner-city property. The reconstructed interior of the house is a reflection of the small-town way of life. The narrow rooms allow the simple conditions of their former inhabitants to be felt again. When setting up, great importance was attached to attention to detail, so that for many visitors some of the interesting exhibits can perhaps also be linked to personal memories. The upper floor is available for special exhibitions. The courtyard buildings should not be neglected either, and special attention should be paid to the workshop of a glass pusher. The glass was heated in an oven and pressed into molds with tongs while it was still viscous. Badges, buttons, reflectors and other small glass parts were made from colored rod glass. The small garden with flowers, vegetables and herbs is designed as a typical arable garden and contains a selection of bee pasture plants.
