Yugen Explore

Yugen Explore is an outdoor community organising hiking meet-ups around the UK. Starting out as a travel and outdoor accessory brand created to inspire more people to travel and go on adventures. We sell essential travel products that make your life easier when travelling. We promote sustainable purchasing by offering high quality products with the customer in mind that are built to last. We ensure we are ethical and sustainable and reduce our impact on the planet as much as possible. We have blogs, travel advice and lots of important travel information to make travelling easier.

Yugen is a Japenese word meaning "an awareness of the universe too deep and meaningful for words" like when you hike up a mountain and you can't put in to words how amazing the view is. Or, when you see a sunrise or a sunset and you are in awe at the beauty of it. These are moments of Yugen and we think everyone should experience their own Yugen moment.

We love to encourage people to explore closer to home as well as the other side of the world. We organise hiking meet-ups to physically get more people outdoors with us. Our meet-ups are a great way to get our community of like-minded adventurous people together, reduce isolation and loneliness and show people how amazing the great outdoors is!
