With slightly sore muscles, we set off this morning for the Christmas market at Werdringen Water Castle. Entry to the museum was free today. There was a small selection of exhibitors inside, and food and drinks were available outside at reasonable prices. A lovely little castle. Then we went back to

The path to the castle was quite muddy in places due to newly constructed roads. The path along the stream was also flooded, but passable. The stream has a bridge built with three logs, but the official hiking trails lead through the "streambed." Along one road (see photo with the peas), there was food

Despite the rain, I enjoyed a lovely stroll through the Christmas market around and on Bentheim Castle. I played the dice game three times and won three times.

Always a pleasure: Tecklenburg
There was a great atmosphere in the small shops and at the Christmas market. The walk back through the spa gardens was a bit eerie, foggy, and then there was the headlamp. You could have seen perfectly well with it, but my own breath created fog and blocked my view.
