I usually long to be outdoors in nature 🍁🍂 especially with this glorious sunshine ☀️. But it was simply too cold for cycling 🥶. So I bundled up and set off for a walk through Düsseldorf 😍, including the Roncalli Christmas Market ✨️🎄✨️.
I think the city is phenomenal 🤩. Although I love exploring

What a day! 🤩 Plenty of sunshine 🌞 and lots of time for cycling 🚴♀️ So off I went to the Christmas Miracle 2025 in Essen, the fantastic WDR 2 fundraising campaign against world hunger, to which I hereby dedicate this tour 😊

Hier auf Komoot entdeckt und schnell mal bei herrlichem Wetter besucht: das Weihnachtsdorf Waldbreitbach ✨️🎄✨️ Zunächst bin ich mit dem Fahrrad gestartet 🚴♀️ Leider musste ich meine ursprüngliche Tour wegen einer Straßensperrung umplanen und landete auch auf schlammigen und matschigen Wegen. Dennoch gab es auf den Höhen schöne Fernblicke 🤩 und ich nahm einige nette Eindrücke von der Umgebung mit. Anschließend machte ich noch einen kleinen Rundgang durch den wundervoll geschmückten Ort. Für den Krippenweg fehlte mir am Ende leider die Motivation, da die Höhenmeter bei etwa 5 Grad doch ziemlich kräftezehrend waren. Zum Glück wusste ich zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht, dass mich wegen Unfällen auf den Autobahnen eine ziemlich stauige Heimfahrt erwartete 🙄 Aber Hauptsache nicht selbst betroffen sein und gut ankommen 🏕🍀 Der auf der Wied schwimmende Adventskranz sowie die ebenfalls schwimmende Krippe waren für mich die schönsten Highlights 🥰
