The Rhine was today's destination, precisely at kilometer marker 726 in the Himmelgeister Rheinbogen (Himmelgeist bend).

The weather, with its rather high temperature of 30°C, was quite bearable with appropriate clothing.

There was also a light breeze

and some shady sections.

Today's weather suggested that I

plan a forest hike.

That turned out to be the Heiden Runde (Heiden Loop).

With ups and downs, there were many pleasant forest sections.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be even warmer and more humid,

so I'll probably plan a trip to the Rhine.

The route led via Haan and Wuppertal-Vohwinkel to the open-cast mine, or should I say quarry, in Dornap.

The return journey took us via Schöller, Gruiten, and Unterfeldhaus to Hilden.
