It was time again to cross the beautiful stream valleys around Remscheid and Solingen, with the highlight for me: the Hammertal valley.

To avoid riding the same paths over and over again, I planned today's tour to include more gravel paths and steep climbs. This resulted in a total of 1,100 meters of elevation gain.

Today a short walk around the valley, very pleasant especially given the high temperatures.

Today, a gravel tour took me to the left bank of the Rhine between Leverkusen and Cologne – to one of the greenest corners of the region.
