The island of Langenwerder lies off the northeast coast of the island of Poel, opposite the small town of Gollwitz. It belongs to the Wismar Bay in the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg. The island has a size of approx. 20 ha, with a length of 990 m and a width between 200 and 450 m. The details vary somewhat depending on the water level.

The Schmuggler Bude is located directly on the beach and is the starting point for the island of Langenwerder. An ideal stop for a refreshment before or after the excursion to the island. The offer is surprisingly good for a food truck. The operators are very friendly and manage everything extremely well.
