the towering castle founded in the 13th century protected, like other castles in the vicinity, the trade route along the river Svratka. The castle has been described as deserted since the 16th century. Massive remains of the walls have been preserved to this day, the ruin is a dominant feature of the village of Pivonice.

The ruins of Zubštejn Castle are situated on a significant hill (688 m) above the village of Pivonice in the Vysočina Region. Zubštejn was probably the oldest Pernštejn castle in the river Svratka. Available on foot, perpendicularly and by car :-)
