Štěpánov nad Svratkou is a town in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou in the Vysočina Region. The Svratka river flows through the village, into which the Hodonínka river flows. 703 inhabitants live here. Regarding the name of the village, there are three theories. According to the first, a large number of apple trees or grafts grew here, according to the second, the name is derived from the name of the robber knight Štěpán, who resided in Hradisk.
