Among the attractions in the immediate surroundings of Litoměřice are Mostná hora hill with a lookout tower and excursion restaurant, as well as the isolated Radobyl hill, from which there is a beautiful view of the Polabská nížina and the České středohoří. Part of this hill is a natural monument. The cross at the top reminds of the pagan shrine that once stood here. The stone on which the Mach monument was symbolically erected in 1938 near the city walls also comes from Radobýl. To the north of the city there is also the national natural monument Bílá strána. Here you will find thermophilic communities with specially protected species. Litoměřice is located in the protected landscape area of the České středohoří. Through the Elbe gorge called Porta Bohemica you enter a picturesque corner of the region. The Elbe River is lined with vineyards from Velké Žernoseke to Litoměřice, which continue the tradition of growing wine established by Charles IV.
