Between Sauerbrunnen and the cabin there is a narrow passage with a steep slope. Whirlpools (stand rollers) have ground here with millstones swirl holes and through sand and gravel so-called pseudo-mud holes in the granite. The hydropower necessary for the swirl hole formation comes from the comparatively large gradient at the bottleneck at the churn. Here we have a level difference of approx. 4 meters on a course of approx. 40 meters, between Falkenberg and Windischeschenbach it is only 40 meters in total on 15 km.
